Ubuntu create new desktop file to create Icon and shortcut

Desktop file if icon not show after deb installed

open Terminal by Ctrl+alt+T

sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/dbvis.desktop

past below text

[Desktop Entry]

Name=Db Visulizer

Type=Application

Exec=/opt/DbVisualizer/dbvis

Terminal=false

Icon=/opt/DbVisualizer/resources/images/splash-animated.gif

Comment=Db Visulizer

NoDisplay=false

Categories=DataBase;

Name[en]=DbVisulizer
